Misanthropy and superiority among dragons

This is a problem I’ve seen in the dragon/dragonkin/draconic communities and I want to say something about it.
I’m
not saying this isn’t an issue in other kintypes or alterhuman/nonhuman communities, but I
am saying that this is something I’ve especially seen coming from dragons. I’m also not saying
all dragonkin.
We need to talk about the very expressive hatred/disgust towards humans and the notion that dragons are these pure, higher beings. It ranges from being very outright to very casual. “Such is the nature of humans” and “humans this” and “humans that”, and it honestly feels insulting to talk down like that. Often whenever something bad happens, the response is “welp, humans gonna human, a dragon would never do that”.
I don’t think many realize just how alienating it is even to others within the community. It’s not just me (being dragonkin but still human identifying) either, Ammy is a dragon and finds the idea of humans being corrupt and inferior a gross topic since it’s applying a negative blanket to an entire species. Dragons can’t always be above it all and certainly aren’t immune to doing any wrong. Likewise, humans aren’t universally evil creatures.
