OCkin? What's that?
A portion of the community knows about OCkin (ockin, OC kin) in the sense of "identifying as an OC belonging to someone else", but not that that doesn't encompass all OCkin. The identity includes also, which is how I experience it, identifying as a character that is not established canonically or in fanon.
For example, someone may be a warrior cat but not any existing character. Or an argonian from Tamriel. A completely different individual that is not a canon character and more often than not even in the source media at all. In my case, I'm a monster-wolf from Undertale. I'm not a character in the game, an AU character, or a fanon character. I'm an original character, therefore OCkin.
Of course, as with all labels, this isn't something to force onto people. Someone can consider themselves something along these lines but not OCkin, and that's completely fine.
